The destinations

Ecotours Thalassa chooses every year different geographical locations for its excursions. Our experience allows us at each moment to choose between many alternative destinations.

For summer 2009 our trips will take place in the Ionian Sea, Western Greece. A fair-winds sea area full of beautifull islands like Corfu, Paxoi, Lefkas, Kefalonia, Ithaka, Zakynthos and several other smaller ones. Previous experience has shown that marine life is abundant in these waters: dolphins, sperm whales, fin whales, sea turtles and even monk seals are encountered often during the cruises.

The departure is every Saturday afternoon from May until October. The excursions are of one week duration and every day we stop at a different port. The main factors which shape our trips are the weather and your desires.

The captains are willing to design the programmes to your liking, as long as they stay within the safety limits.

During the winter months we set out sails for exotic destinations. In 2004 and 2005 we set off with the catamaran "Tethys" and ended up in Cabo Verde where we spent five unforgettable months. There is always a strong desire to repeat those unbelievable journeys.
